‘Tour of Croatia’ is the most beautiful tourist postcard Croatia is sending out to the world this year, and our staff were particularly delighted and proud of the fact that the race organisers and members of eight different teams chose the Katarina Hotel to host them during the mid- Dalmatian leg of its tour.
“Tour of Croatia is an example of a project which has many positive effects on Croatia’s tourism. First of all, for promotion purposes as the race takes place over a distance of around 1000 kilometres, and passes through almost the entire area of our country, coast and continent. The focus of the Croatian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Tourism is the development of events in the period pre- and post- tourist season, namely, the extension of the tourist season. The Tour of Croatia race is an example of how big international events can help achieve that goal. This is why, this year, we are proud partners of the race that has successfully positioned itself as the most exciting cycling race in the country,” announced the director of the Croatian Tourist Board, Kristin Staničić, thanking the organisers for not only annually bringing a great number of athletes to Croatia, but also for bringing Croatia to homes across the world.
The Hotel Katarina would also like to extend our welcome to the cyclists who have recognised our unique accommodation in the immediate vicinity of Split, as well as Dalmatian Zagore, a virtually undiscovered and exciting new tourist destination which offers, amongst other things, unrivalled opportunities for all cycling enthusiasts. With over 1500km of cycling trails, Central Dalmatia has become one of the fastest growing and most desirable cyclotourism destinations in the Mediterranean, and we have no doubt that the Tour of Croatia will only strengthen the reputation of our earthly paradise for passionate cyclists and recreationists alike. At the Katarina Hotel we know how to rise to every challenge, and the trust put in us by the organisers of the Tour of Croatia race, as well as by professionals from eight cycling teams, is proof of this.
