GENERAL TERMS OF BUSINESS
Hotel Katarina is a smart hotel that uses advanced digital technologies to provide services. There is no classic reception in the hotel, and all services are available through a mobile application.
Without downloading and using the mobile application, guests will not be able to access the rooms or use other hotel facilities.
1. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT METHOD
Accommodation reservations are accepted exclusively via digital channels (the Hotel’s official website www.hotelkatarina.hr, mobile applications, OTA accommodation reservation platform: Booking.com.
When making a reservation, the guest is obliged to enter the requested data and accept these General Terms and Conditions.
Guests are obliged to make payment immediately upon reservation via credit card or other digital platforms (revolut, aircash, paypal).
The reservation confirmation is delivered electronically to the guest’s e-mail address provided during the reservation.
The guest’s personal data, as well as the guest’s credit card information, are fully protected. Data transfer takes place via a secure server.
2. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Check-in and check-out are carried out exclusively via digital channels or mobile applications.
In accordance with the applicable legal regulations in the Republic of Croatia, legal and natural persons providing overnight accommodation in an accommodation facility are obliged to register in the eVisitor system all persons who they provide an overnight service.
Guests will receive a link for online registration (check-in) at 12:00 on the day before their expected arrival via the e-mail address specified when booking accommodation. In the case of booking accommodation on the day of arrival, the guest will receive the link for online registration (check-in) immediately after the overnight reservation has been successfully made.
Each guest is obliged to enter correct and accurate information and personal data via the received link for online registration (check-in) and attach a personal document in accordance with the Ministry of Tourism’s Rulebook on the eVisitor system (Official Gazette 43/2020-897).
After successful online registration (check-in), the guest will receive a link to the YourKey Plus mobile application on their mobile device, which they must download to their mobile device and through which they will receive an access code/key (mobile key) that serves as a key to enter the room and access all other rooms available to guests.
Check in is from 3:00 p.m., and check out is until 11:00 a.m.
Note: Validity of the access fee the code/key (mobile key) is set for the time available for the guest’s stay in the Hotel (from 3:00 p.m. on the day of check-in to 11:00 a.m. on the day of guest check-out).
The access code/key (mobile key) will be automatically canceled after the scheduled check-out time, and it will no longer be possible to access the room or other contents.
The guest will receive a notification via mobile device about the expiration of the access code/key (mobile key) half an hour before the automatic deactivation.
3. PRICES OF SERVICES
The price of the service represents the amount per person/day or per room/day, all as indicated in the service price list. Additional services are not included in the price and the guest pays for them additionally. The hotel reserves the right to change service prices at any time. For guests who have provided an acceptable reservation guarantee, the hotel guarantees the prices that were in effect when the reservation was made. VAT is included in the price. All payments will be made in EUR.
The price of accommodation includes breakfast for each individual guest and it cannot be arranged or canceled separately.
Free private parking is provided for guests within the Hotel.
4. TOURIST TAX
In accordance with the regulations governing the payment of tourist tax, guests are required to pay the tourist tax when paying for their accommodation at the hotel. The amount of the tourist tax in the Republic of Croatia varies according to the season and the destination you are traveling to.
Children under 12 years of age do not pay the tourist tax, while children from 12 to 18 years of age have a 50% discount. The amount of the tourist tax is paid when paying for the reservation.
The amount of the paid tourist tax is clearly stated on the invoice issued to the guest upon billing and payment for the service.
5. STAY AND USE OF SERVICES
Only registered guests may stay in the room.
The rooms are equipped with cards that must be inserted into the reader near the door to activate the light, air conditioning and ventilation. Guests are required to remove the card from the reader upon leaving the room.
Guests are required to keep the room inventory and equipment, and are responsible for any damage.
The hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings of guests unless the damage is caused by the hotel’s negligence.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse service to guests who violate the rules of conduct or endanger the safety of other guests.
Pets are not allowed.
Parties or group events are not allowed.
